The fact that you’re reading this article means that you are looking for ways to improve your income. Like so many others, you’re finding it hard to make ends meet and want to make money online. You have no doubt also been enticed by one or more of those ‘get rich quick’ schemes that are so prevalent online.

For good reason, you’re also probably skeptical. If you’ve ever tried any of these ‘magic bullet systems, ‘ you will have already discovered that they all depend on two things: traffic generation and SEO. The other thing you will have discovered is that they want you to generate traffic and get high search engine rankings for them, not yourself!

There’s nothing wrong with what they’re telling you. The only way you’ll ever make money on the internet is if you do a serious linkbuilding campaign and make yourself findable on search engines. The thing is, though, why should you do it for somebody else when you can do it for yourself? That’s just being a wage slave again.

Do you think you don’t have anything to sell? Think again! What are you good at? What do you do for a living? It doesn’t matter whether you’re at IT wizard or a used car salesman, your current job can be your ticket to a profitable online business. How can this be? Let’s take an example.

Let’s pretend you’re a television repair person. You don’t make great money and you’ve become so good at your job that it’s second-nature to you. Your knowledge may not be interesting to you anymore, but millions of people would love to know what an LED backlight is or even what LED means.

You not only know what LED stands for (Light Emitting Diode), but you also know what a diode is and what it does. Your knowledge could be the beginning of your new career, if you put it to use. Start small, say with a free blog site, and build your online presence slowly.

Your first blog entry may be an article about LED and what it does. Go ahead and get technical - show off your expertise! Then distribute this article throughout the internet. A week later, write another article. Write about something different, like graphic LCD. Assume your readers don’t know a thing and teach them from the ground up.

Chip away at it and eventually you will establish yourself as an expert in your field. People will turn to you for advice and will buy the products you suggest they buy. You can make a good living as an affiliate or even as a writer. Just see where your blog takes you and build from there. Good luck!
